Question for Lost in Blue

Ok hey! I have a few questions.
1.) is it me or is building stuff really hard? I can't seam to get the hang of it, I do the right symbols and all but it doesnt seam to notice plese help.
2.) how do you make a fishing rod ? I know it's a silly question but I just can't get it )
3.) also what do the numbers next to items mean ? E.g. Spear 5 e.c.t
I think thats all! Cheers for all help even real simple stuff!

1. Yes, building is really hard until you get the hang of it. You need to trace the symbols in the square as they fall down the line, and you need to do it in less than a second, which is easy after a while. Make sure you always quick save before you build so you don't accidentally waste materials if you fail. 2. There are different fishing rods. Here are all the combinations, worst to best:
Vine, Wooden Stick, Sharpened Stone
Vine, Bamboo, Sharpened Stone
Vine, Wooden Stick, Sharpened Bone
Vine, Bamboo, Sharpened Bone
3. The numbers indicate which one the items is in a series of items that are the same but made with varying materials.
