Apple pie and meds?

First of all, I know how to activate the event: get an apple on the raft, I have the apple, but how do I make the pie? What are the ingreadeants? Please help.

Also, I cannot get James to talk about the medicne. I know I need to take him to the hot springs, but he just doesn't get it! Does he need to get in alone, how many times do I need to go back, do I need to get to the springs with a certain path? Please help!

Umm.. I don't think this is the right game. There's nobody named james and I'm pretty sure there's no apples or apple pies and no medicine either.

This is for the Nintendo DS game. I think you may be asking about the Wii game or something.
