Raiders of the Lost Ark

In Raiders of the Lost Ark, Story 3, how do I stop the baddies shooting at me? There is a thing that looks like a green arrow with a mine on it on the ground. Is this needed to kill the baddies? If so, how do I activate it?

The thing that looks like a green arrow with a land mine is actually the base to a machine gun. Keep searching for the other pieces. If you are n the market area and the baddies are coming from behind the truck. Then you need to whip up to the hat closet on the far left of the area, get the soldier hat and then activate the console on the far right while wearing the soldier hat. This will send a plane that drops more pieces of the gun. If you lose the hat you can just go get another. Keep doing it until you have all pieces of the gun including the controls. It takes three or four times.

Look for the pieces of the Machine gun you need. You have to destroy items around the area to find the pieces. You have to keep doing this 3-4 times.
