Question for LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7

What happens if my target reducto isn't destroying the silver block lock in Grimmault Place in the Legilimency part of Chapter 2 in book 5? Is there a solution? I'm not in freeplay mode.

the most common reason that happens is that we stand too close, try standing back a few steps so the spell isnt blocked.
