Question for LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7

Lego Harry Potter Yrs 5-7 for Nin DS. In yr 7 Harry VS Voldemort, at the point where you get the Sorting Hat down to get the sword to kill Nagini...there is a charater token there but I can not get it, any ideas?

There is a pile behind the snake that you have to levitate to trap the tail. After you do that the token will shoot out.
