Keep defending... Have you unlocked the character voldemort because if you have.... Change into him using polyjuice potion from the cauldron and then go into the duel club. Voldemort has a high life meter. (you can unlock him by defeating all death eaters then beating voldemort) then once battling godric.... KEEP DEFENDING (once you've defended once keep your stylus near the top of the wheel for quicker reaction) once you've hit him with a rebounded charged hit, then shoot uncharged shots from the opposite direction to what he was facing (I've found if you do this you can shoot him more times because when he gets back up he's facing the wrong direction to block). Keep trying and practising.

Or, you could do what I have always done. Whenever you are in a duel, only deflect the spells. I've learned that deflecting the spells will send the spell back and forth between the characters until it breaks through the defenses.
Oh, and you should know, you don't have to use that arrow thing on the touch screen. Press B to deflect a spell. Press Y to attack.
