Question for LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7

In year 6, at the cave entrance, my son is trying to carve the apparation circle, but it will only go about a 1/4 of the way around. How does he make it go all the way around?

You have to use a circular motion on the + key. Wiggle it around in a circle.

You have to get all 3 lights with the deluminator and then it should work
