How do you free buckbeak? Macnair keeps on catching me! HELP!!

Put the invisibility cloak on, if you walk you will see a couldren, make the potion, put the potion on the plants, they will turn to mushrooms, walk towards the mushrooms then quickly away they will explode, keep doing this until the last one and then you will be able to get to buckbeak
