I got stuck at this bit as well. ;) You have to sneak up to the statue and drag it backwards into the dark blue square. It will release the "Bloody Baron" and he will get Peeves to get the fire-crab to get rid of him. (This is if you are stuck in the slytherin corridors)!

Zap his cat to distract him because if he catches you, zapping Mrs.Norris will distract him
