Don't use the deadly nadder. Use a monstrus nightmare. With good emerald armor, luck, and 2 moves (rocket intense heat) it's easy.

Fire splash does way more damage that rocket and if you have 150 offense then fire splash is a one hit kill.

Fire splash give 5 sec stun

I've used a deadly nadder since I got one, and teach it these moves

Bite Sting

Poison Darts Flaming Torch

Snare Spark Shower

A very effective combo is using Sting or some other low energy poisoning move, and if the foe has Break or Dazed, using Dart Storm. It is very useful, and serves for a one-hit KO on a dragon at about half health or lower, if you have more Fortitude than it does. Good luck!

I was stuck with the hideous zippleback so may I suggest that you try all dragons see which one has more abilities so then you can use that dragon!!

All I have is a Deadly Nadder and still I can't defeat the Hidous Zippleback!
Can someone helpful tell me what to do!

Ok so the way I used instantly worked.

1: get a monstous nightmare

2: get really good emerald armor

3: acquire intense heat and fire splash

4: use intense heat, then fire splash

This will work on all boss battles (I think)

It didn't immediately work for me. I instead do:
1.) Adrenaline
2.) Intense heat
3.) Fire splash
I have completed the game and this works for me as far as a monstrous nightmare.
