I am on Spring 21st in year 1 and I currently own the blue striped cart. However, now and even before this I've found I can't put anything into storage (in cart, storage chest, animal food storage, ect). Am I supposed to wait for some event where they show how to use it to me, is my game broken, or am I just having a blond moment? Also, how would I put things in there?

You should be able to put things away and take them out by going up to your cart or the chest in your house and pressing A. From there you just select the item with your d-pad or stylus and bring it to the other side(just press A for d-pad, click and drag for stylus) to put it away or take it out, and you should be able to do that from the moment you get the cart. If it doesn't work there may very well be something wrong with your game.

There isÂ´nt any event you need to use it.If you own the cart ,is the same for al carts.The only thing you need to do is to select it by the little cart in your house (I think you did these) and use it.Sorry but I donÂ´t know more about that.

If you want to put something in your cart, just stand in front of it with the item you want to put in, and press a to throw it in the cart. Or, if you want to take something out of the cart, press a next to the cart and you can take something out.
