I have denny (or danny I don't remember :( he is the fisherman) on a red heart. Everytime I go to give him the blue feather he says he isnt ready for marriage. I don't have mystic islands unlocked (the island that has the church and the witches house on it)
So do I need the mystic islands unlocked to get married?
Hopefully not. That would be so hard to get sunstoens for :(

You need to unlock the mystic island and you need to get the sunstone from denny by giving him gift for 5 days and after you unlock the mystic island you have to wait for a few days to have the church...

You need to raise the mystic islands (12 sunstones) and then get his sunstone by giving him five(5) gifts that are worth 300 fp (friendship points).
