How do you throw an item?

I would like to throw some items in the harvest moon goddess lake to unlock her.

First: place what you want to throw in one of the four equipped slot
Then: click on the item you wanted to throw
When you character is holding it above it's head, drag that item to wherever you want to throw it

Place the item you want to throw in your equipped slots, then make your character hold it above their head, then touch the item with your stylus and draw a line to where you want it thrown.
