So how do you pause the game ?? The only way I've figured out how to do it is by either talking to someone or going to my storage ??

Even if you go to the storage, you won't be pausing the game. Time still passes.
The only ways? Well, talk to someone, or select something that requires you to answer Yes or No. Like, in my game, everytime I need to "pause" it I just go to my calendar. It always asks, "View your calendar?" Then "Yes" or "No" I always make it stay in those two options.
Another easier way is to close your DS. Don't turn it off, just close it. The game will automatically go to sleep.
You can also just close your ds. Or just look at the canlander etheir way works.
