Nope. In order to get it, you need to upgrade all your tools to Mystrile.

Now Ran08 I disagree with your answer, only because you just need to go to the bottom of the 2nd mine in order to get it, You never actually need to upgrade all of your tools to Mysyrile, I never had my tools upgraded and got it. All you need to do to get the legendary sword is reach lvl 255 in the mine (Your actually only going down 100 levels) then kill all the bugs and stuff then a door will be opened. Step inside and you'll get the legendary sword event. It's worth all the trouble, because then you can unlock the third mine and get the adamanite and different sun stones for the basement.
