Question for Harvest Moon DS Cute

I always loose my dogs ball. It always disappears one I put it down then the next morning th mayer ends up with it and gives it to me. Why does it disappear?

No idea why it disappears, but (since I hate dogs) my theory is, the dog's stupid and puts it down at the mayors feet when he comes to collect the shipments.
Either that or the mayor breaks into your house (if you have it there) or comes to your farm and steals it off the property just so that he can come see you.
I usually just have the ball in my rucksack (it takes up some space, I know, but I got the cupboard in my house and I just put it there.)

I found a way to make your dog carry the ball by himself without him giving it to you. So this helps you not loosing the ball cause the ball is in his mouth 24/7 (sometimes he drops it when you go away)! So make a small space with lumber around you so he can't get in. You should be able to jump over it. Get the ball and throw t to him and then he'll chase you. Run to the little space you made, jump in and he'll have the ball in his mouth trying to get to you. Seconds later he'll give up and run off with the ball.
