Is the Baby Harvest sprite important i've raised it's heart level to 10 does it do something later in the game?

Supposedly, it'll raise your money but I have never seen the little rascal do anything.
I can't find any reference for the baby other than you can give him gifts. I'm pretty sure he's just there to be cute.
Nope. He won't do much but if you give him lots of gifts he likes... In short... Raises his friendship level, he'll offer you one of three wishes. It could be raise the friendship points of everyone... Or raise your money... Something like that.
