Question for Harvest Moon DS

I have 2 questions to ask:

1)after your married and your wife gets pregnant do you still have to give her gifts until she has the baby?

2)after your wife gets pregnant how long do you have to wait in order for her to have the baby?

1)Well, you don't have to but it might be a good idea to keep giving her gifts, to trigger the random events that can only be triggered when your married.
2)You must wait about sixty days after the pregnancy event, then you have your kid! Also, the game skips ahead 3 years and your child will be a toddler(thank god! If you played MM you probably are sick of the crying)More good things about having a kid is that you unlock the hot spring by the construction site, which is now a circus, which contains two new characters, Barney(-.-)and Mimi. I was so mad when I figured out you can't marry Mimi. Also, sometime before you wife has the baby, you must get the sock from Nina! After the timeskip, she dies and you can't get the sock!

P.S. Sorry about number two being so long...

Alchemy is totally right, but you almost have to keep giving your wife presents, because if her "love/star" level drops below 10, she won't have the baby. Give her a flower every other day or so and you'll be fine.

You don't really need to give her presents but it's better, I guess.
As for the second question, about a season or two...
