Question for Harvest Moon DS

Hi

I can't seem to find out how to get the fishing rod. I visited galen between 11 and 12 am but he justs goes on about the countryside.

You actually have to visit Galen inside the house about noon on a Saturday. It won't work during the week or if he's outside.

On a saturday at noon.

You have to go inside Galen's house on a sunny saturday with NOTHING equipped.
You "time slots" are pretty correct.
