No, you can't do either, you are stuck with the spouse that you chose. But, if you drop below a certain amount of friendship points there is a cut scene in which the wife yells at you and you patch up your diferences 
but this scene only happens if you have no child and your wife isnt pregnant

Right I still didnt married even if I'm dying to but the only prson I want to marry is muffy(wish she be the quuen cause shes cute)and harvest goddes(I woud marry muffy but she is the queen sooo I want to be the king)so you get me, choose it at first whats best for you cause my first wife I wanted was nami cause she like grapes like me then celia finnaly muffy,leia is discoveres and the realize about the king .so thanks for reading this
