After you kill the red caps (little gnomes), avoid the troll when he charges and he'll become stunned when he runs into the Rick walls. While he's stunned-you'll be able to tell he's stunned when the little yellow stars appear around him and he's swaying side to side-cast as many spells at him as you can until it wears off. Repeat this process until you defeat the troll. Good luck hope this helps! =)
