Question for Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy

I have beaten the game, and am now going through on character mode. There is a battle with pride and I keep losing. Is there a trick to beating him?

This will depend on your character
Ed:use roadblocks to stop stabbings (jump over the multi swing)and to block the crescentslashes.hit with cannon turn around and hit him with melee combo.
Alphonse:same concept as ed
Mustang:attack then IMMEDIATLY turn around and use flare burst (alchemy attack)
Izumi:same as ed except with twin stone thrust not cannon.
Armstrong:again same concept as ed except with stonespikes.(he can kill pride faster than anyone else)
Scar:attack then use needle guard(alchemic attack).
