There's many different combos-the one thing all the ones I've seen discussed have in common is that they use team skills, and they've been ranked up close to or at level 20. Check back on other questions on this site for alternatives. I will tell you that I've successfully used Dimetro, Nigo, and Tricera at rank 20 for my team. Dimetro has charge, which you can stack with enflame to really make his attacks lethal. His team skill is also relatively cheap at 240. Lastly, he absorbs FP whenever he's attacked, and who can't use more FP when you're fighting a long battle! Nigo has one drawback-he gives a 20% boost to the opposing team's attack, but for me, this is offset by several things. He has rallying cry to get rid of nasty effects, his team skill is also cheap (220), his link attacks are substantial, and he's huge-700 LP plus a bonus if you give him a super fossil rock. He can take a lot of damage with that much LP. Tricera has a really cheap team skill (170), plus enflame. Because Zongazonga really decreases the stats on your attack position, all these guys can attack from the support zone and avoid all those minuses.
Again, check out past questions on this site for ways to rank up your team if you still need to do that. You will notice that none of these guys are superevolvers. I really like the new dinos-they're very cool-but when you're still trying to beat the game, they are so expensive FP-wise that they are hard to use. I've beaten the computer many times when it's using superevolvers because it keeps skipping turns to build up enough FP to use a cool attack and I kill the dino before it gets to attack.
Lastly, when you're battling Zongazonga, concentrate on him. If you take out the z-rexes, you have one turn to kill Zongazonga before he resurrects them at full strength. Once he's out of the picture, they're easy to kill. Hope this helps. Good luck!

He doesn't resurrect the Z-Rexes. They resurrect themselves. You actually have to whittle down their health to almost zero, and then attack them both in the same turn.

Whoops-you are so right! I guess I forgot that part because I always use team attacks when I'm able, which means I am attacking them simultaneously, as you suggest. Good catch! Thanks.
