There are no walk throughs for this unbelievably hard game I can't even beat the OctoMammoth, will someone please help me?

I beat him with thunder spells and had Cecil use his ability first then attack.

What I did was have rydia trained a bit so she learns raise and then fight the octamammoth with tellah using thunder and cecil attack and rrydia heals and tellah heals wen desperate
