Question for Final Fantasy III

Hi I seem to be having some trouble finding the legendary blacksmith.
I have searched through tons of walkthroughs but don't know which walkthrough is right can you please tell me how to unlock the blacksmith and where to find him

You have Wi-Fi, right? Well, send a bunch of mails to your buddies, then start mailing Sara. Once you get a mail saying that she has a broken pendant, go see her. Then, go talk to Takka (Refia's dad) and then mail him until he says something about a Legendary blacksmith. Go to Northwestern Saronia. She (the blacksmith is a girl) will be on the right side of town. After you talk to her, mail Takka until he sends a mail mentioning Oralchium (spelling?). Now, start sending mail to Cid until he tells you that there is a beast in his basement. Go to him, defeat the monster and go to Falgabard to see the blacksmith a second time. You'll receive the Ultima Weapon. Afterwards, she'll wander from town to town.

P.S.: You might want to return the fixed pendant to Sara.
