You want to mainly cast spells on the rat and keep your whole party alive. You also want to have plenty of phoenix downs to revive your dead teammates and potions and hi-potions to heal your hurt teammates and hopefully the person that is following you will help you. (I believe the persons name is Des.)
Unless your really strong use only your black and white mages also if you have special swords or staffs that can also cast spells then use them as well but other than that use the duplicating glitch to make a whole bunch of antarctic wind to use against the rat. Only magic will defeat that rat
