Air Ship and Mountains

My next stop is Falgabard and the air ship Invincible won't go over any mountains, I know I'm supposed to press A while moving, is there something I'm missing? Or is this a glitch?

Press A and then jump over the smaller mountains, you can't jump over regular ones.

Thank you for answering, I'm sure its correct, somehow it is not working. I tried going over the two smaller mountains right above Falgabard by pressing the A, may be something is wrong with my game? I played another game that uses the A button and that works. I've tried other small mountains no go. Lol, just my luck, thanks anyway.

I know how you feel im stuck in there too, what are you suppose to do? i have a feeling its a bad glitch.

I've been tempted to buy another copy (at this point probably used on ebay) and do it all over again. Agh, don't really know if I have that kind of patience. But at least I can see I did not miss something. Thanks for responding.
