Depends what jobs you have picked.
White mage can only cast spells that have a white circle next to them.
Black Mage can only cast spells that have black clircle next to them.
Red mage can cast a little bit of both.
And if one of you're characters have these jobs, when you're in battle click magic then click on spell then click on the monster you wish to attack with or on you're self.
