I need mini medals!

Does anybody know usual places to find mini medals? Are they usually found in certain treasure chests? Just wondering.

When it comes to finding mini medals, its all random. you can get a few from quests, or from chests (of which blue ones are random), or from legacy bosses (like baramos). Note: legacy bosses have a 100% chance of droping a mini medal when you beat them. I dont think you can actually fight one till post game though

There are certain quest like Brian's dyin wish up in the top right island (you need the starflight) in a cave when you can fight barbadomos

There are several ways of getting mini medals.
Firstly the chests in the gitiham place and at the front of the blow hole regular have mini medals.

Secondly, the "box" monsters (eg cannibox, trap box,) have a common loot of a mini medal, so if you find one, use half-inch .

Additionally, there are some side quests that have mini medals as rewards, with one quest giving 3 medals as a reward.

Lastly, look in the grottoes that you have, as some chests have a good chance of giving out mini medals.

Actually, If you use fizzle first, they can't use whack or chilly breath.

to prevent critical hits, just skill out your shield and accept a quest for the shield in swinedimples academy to get a shield book. it helps a lot...unless your character falls asleep, then its useless.

the "Exterminate" quest Always gets you a mini medal...after you beat it the first time, you can except this quest only in post-game by looking at the second bookshelf to the right at the house at the top of the mountain in Hermany

or if you have yet to get (SPOILER) Sterlings Whistle you can get them at the respawn spot in the eastern part of doomingdale forest

which quest gives u three mini medals please I need to knoe
Guest answered:

forget the chest when you beat corvus and eat the fruit afterwards fly the starflight express to hermany. there is a small house and in a bookcase is a letter with a quest, read it and take the quest, not only is it good experience but when you complete it you get a metal slime shield the first time. you can do this quest over and over and every time after the first you'll get a mini medal as an award

Responding To the first comment: The first time, It's on the hill you can't get to if you haven't beaten the game and/or haven't aquired the starflight.

I'm sure someone said you get them from DQVC. Not sure though coz my Internet connection doesn't work.

I've gotten a mini medal from a mimic, just use kabuff, insulate, and magic mirror, and use half inch, it worked for me.

Guest answered:

Gittingham runs take around 3 minutes to complete and can get you a few mini medals. To do these, you only need to have finished the part of the story that takes place in the Gittingham Palace (beat the bosses, free Corvus, bla bla bla, spoilers...). Here's how it goes:

- Enter to Gittingham Palace, go through the left corridor to break the 3 vases next to the wall, and continue up the stairs in the next room. Drop down the hole, open the 3 blue chests. Then save the game (attention: quick saving doesn't work!!), reload, repeat.

I've had runs that gave me no mini medals at all, but I've managed to get 3 medals in one run too. My average is about 10 mini medals per hour, but it largely depends on luck. Be patient, and keep trying.

Both the vases and blue chests have a chance of giving you mini medals, and the chests can either be Canniboxes or Mimic, which also have a chance of dropping medals when killed.

Even when you don't find mini medals, you can find other good items here, such as magic water, sage's elixir, brighten rocks, and plenty of others.

Guest answered:

There is a place near brigadoom where you can find mini medals on the ground. It's on the far left side, near the top.

Cool! I'll try that. Did you know that if you go west of Batsureg, you can find an ancient campfire? The twinkly spots are gleeban groats (no prizes for guessing where they come from, it's GLEEBA)
Guest answered:

You also can find them in the first grotto second floor chest always there

Hazza447 answered:

The best places are (in order for me): the bowhole, gittingham palace, gerzun (the place near batsureg) and a couple of grottoes. If you face a cannibox, use fizzle then fuddle and keep using half-inch. I done this and got 4 mini medals from 1 cannibox. If you r unlucky and this doesnt work, try again. Half inch only has a 5% chance of actually getting something. Use half inch on grottoe bosses BTW, cos e.g equinox drops vesta gaunlets and dragon scales. Hope I helped

You can get a 1 mini medal at doomidgdale forest on the eat or the west at it's on a broken ruin hop it help!

I do know that it is not very often that you face a cannibox, so WARNING! Do not get annoyed if it doesn't work at all :(
