How the hell do I get my digimon to evolve do they do it on there one or what

No you have to press start and go to digimon then chose the digimon you want to digivolve and then go to digivolution route then go the the digimon you want and then press X and press digivolve
Also, in the digi farms you go to digimon list, then select the digimon you want to digivolve. Go to "view stats" and then you can select digivolution route to digivolve
