Question for Animal Crossing: Wild World

Please read this.
Everytime I try to get a friend code it says that it can't acess any internet connection when I'm sitting next to my modem!! Do I need to buy something or does my D.S just suck?

You need a wireless thing to plug into a usb port in your computer. The wi-fi doesn't work without it. Some places have hot-spots, and Mcdonald's where I live has hotspots instore where you can play wirelessly for free.

Nintendo make the wireless things and you should be able to buy one at e.b. Or somewhere. They're costly though, but should be under US$30 (yeah, they make their money off the peripheral equipment, sucks, but that's the way it is)

Check electronic boutiqe's or Nintendo's website to see what it is called, because I don't own one I can't remember.

The DS isn't magical. You have to have an internet it can pick up. If your internet is only wired, then your DS can't pick it up without being wired as well.

If you have a router with your modem then you can connect to your wi-fi. All you need to do is go into your wi-fi settings and select a connection and if you have wireless internet with a router, your DS should be able to connect via your router to nintendo wi-fi. I hope this helps some.

I have tried this and it worked for me:
If you have wireless connection try switching all computer off.
