Question for Animal Crossing: Wild World

I donated a ton of bells to the Boonboxians. I know I donated at least 10,000 bells but I only got a letter that said somthing like "Thanks to you're donations we have made some rather important changes" or something like that. Is my game glitched?

No. When you give enough money you get a letter with a present attached. It will be a feather which you can put in your hair, in your house or sell.

Here is a list of the prices, and the colour feather you get.

Green Feather - Donate 10,000 Bells to Boondox
Blue Feather - Donate 200,000 Bells to Boondox
Yellow Feather - Donate 500,000 Bells to Boondox
Red Feather - Donate 800,000 Bells to Boondox
Purple Feather - Donate 1,100,000 Bells to Boondox
White Feather - Donate 1,400,000 Bells to Boondox
Rainbow Feather - Donate 6,400,000 Bells to Boondox

Good Luck getting the Rainbow feather. All I got was the green feather, because that is all I could be bothered to get.
One More Hint: Don't pay 6,400,000 bells all in one go. If you do you will only get the rainbow feather. What you do is pay 10,000 bells, then you pay 190,000 bells (so altogether you have paid 200,000 bells), then you pay 300,000 bells (so you have 500,000 bells) and etc.

You can donate up to a million bells and you'll get presents for each "level" of donation.

I can't seem to find the dollar list for these donations, but keep sending money and you will get different colored feathers. I believe the last one is the rainbow feather for a million bells.

No, your game will give you gifts depending on how many bells you send. Feathers are usually what you get, but they sure do sell high!
