The easiest and best way to get bells is to catch fish. All it takes is a 400 bell investment and you can usually get 500 bells for each fish. Unless it is summer I would suggest looking in the rivers more then the beach because it can get very annoying continuously catching sea bass. In summer look in both about evenly because you can get finned fish (usually sharks).
Another easy way to scrape up the cash is to plant some non-native fruit trees and collect them every 2-3 days. You can get at leat 10,000 bell doing this. If youre looking for a quick 2000 bell just pick up all the shells on the beach and sell them at Tom Nooks store. Zelda_Fan
