Question for Animal Crossing: Wild World

How big is the Coelacanth and Dorado in the water?Do they have a fin sticking out of the water or are they bigger than a Sea bass? Those are the only 2 fish I have left to catch. Also, in what way does the golden fishing rod help you catch fish?

Please answer these questions. ( Just one would be fine too)

Theres no fin there bigger than the sea bass you will be able to tell it's one of them and I have the golden rod but I don't no what it does. Looks good though.

HYPA answered:

A coleacanth is around as big as a Sea bass, same with the Dorado. Neither have fins sticking out. The Golden Rod makes rare fish more likely to appear.

Glitchmaster answered:

They have no fins above water, they are bigger than a sea bass, and what these guys said about the rod isn't really accurate. I read in Nintendo Power that all it does was make the fish bite faster.

I only need to catch a coelacanth, shark, and a pop-eyed goldfish. In my last town I caught a coelacanth it was the size of a sea bass and I was suprised to catch it. It looks so jurassic ! Soon I will have the golden Fishing rod :P

i can give you the shark and popeyed gold fish
Guest answered:

Apparantly, the golden rod lures fish from a bigger radius, so basically it means fish will come up to the lure when they are further away from the lure. So I think the best thing about the Fishing rod is the satisfaction of owning it, and it looks cool.

The dorado is in the river

Just an F.Y.I

Guest answered:

I got the coelacanth at night while it was raining (it can also be snowing) (animal crossing wild world for ds) it's the size of a sea bass and has no different appearance than a sea bass. The coelacanth is caught in the ocean and it only took me about 15 minutes to catch it. The Dorado is also the size of a sea bass and has no different appearance than one. It's season is summer and it can only be caught in the river.
