No. And I am positive. I have the ultimate guide to Animal Crossing from GAME and it has a list of all the fruit you can get. These are:
Pears
Oranges
Cherries
Apples
Peaches and Coconuts

You can't grow bannanas. Even with a cheat system. It is just a rumor.
