Question for Animal Crossing: Wild World

Hi,
I want to do the time travel thing to get money but what happens to my fav neighbours? Will they leave? And what about all my stuff? Or does it stay the same but you just get weeds? Please help me?

Unfortunately some of your neighbors might leave. And you will have weeds everywhere. Your stuff will stay the same but you might get cockroaches in your house. It's cute when you squish them, their little ghost comes up. Lol
