If you want to use different types of Puyo in the game then complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding Puyo.

Unlock Bean(8P):

Get 2 'S-Ranks' in Story mode

Unlock Star(8P):

Get 4 'S-Ranks' in Story mode

Unlock Tile(8P):

Get 6 'S-Ranks' in Story mode

Unlock Block(8P):

Get 8 'S-Ranks' in Story mode

Unlock MSX(2P-4P):

Get 12 'S-Ranks' in Story mode

Unlock Morolian(2P-4P):

Get 16 'S-Ranks' in Story mode

Unlock Sonic(2P-4P), Charcoal(2P-4P):

Get 22 'S-Ranks' in Story mode

Unlock Box (8P and 2-4P):;

Achieve High score on Endless Fever

Unlock Capsule (8P and 2-4P):

Achieve High score on Endless Battle Fever Rule

Unlock Human (8P and 2-4P):

Achieve High score on Endless Battle 2 Rule

At the title screen hold down L and R, press up, down, right, left, X, B, Y, A.

This will unlock all characters and all rulesets.
