One of the unique features of Gen V is the Global Link Station and it's ability to add DLC to your game! In addition to all of the usual stuff you can do with GLS, you can also add new wallpaper and event items, as well as some special kit to be announced.
That being the case you should take the time to visit the official Pokemon website and the Global Link Website and create an account on both.
Some of the special items obtained from Global Link are time-limited, so be sure to check it weekly and to regularly visit Pokemon.com for news and event information as well!

First, it is technically not really called a Pal Park, but as that is the better known name, that is what we used.
Located on Route 15 is a building that is very similar to the Pal Park of the previous games at which you can connect your previous generation games to Black or White once you have obtained the National Pokedex.
When you enter the Transfer Lab, you are told in some detail how it all works. Once you sit through the tutorial you can then access the transferring program pretty much whenever you want, assuming that you have two physical DS's and the game cartridges are in the proper state â ie they each have the National Dex and you have completed their story modes.
To use the Pal Park you will need a copy of Black or White, and any of the previous generation games that meet the requirements â which includes Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold and SoulSilver. If you have Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, or LeafGreen, you will need to transfer their Pokemon â via Pal Park â to Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, SoulSilver, or HeartGold before you can move them into Black or White.
At the connection screens you will trigger a Download App which will link your Generation IV game to Black or White, and like Pal Park, you can send over your Pokemon six at a time â though unlike the Gen IV games, there is no limit or timer associated with the process in Black or White.
Note that you cannot transfer Pokemon with hold items or that know Hidden Machine moves sadly. If your Pokemon knows an HM you will have to visit the Move Deleter in your game and delete it. Eggs cannot be transferred between generations so you will have to hatch them first, and sadly, you cannot transfer the Spiky-eared Pichu at all.
If you are looking to unlock Zorua or Zoroark DO NOT transfer your Fateful Encounter event Pokemon via this method because it will NOT trigger the event! For those you must use the Relocator Machine.

You noticed that no matter how you try, you cannot connect to the Extranet Services in your game â stop worrying, there is nothing wrong with your game! Due to the Earthquake and Tsunami, all of the Extranet Services for Pokemon Black and White have either been delayed in the case of the parts that were not active, or turned off for the parts that were active.
No date has been set for the resumption of services and the launching of the remaining services.

To obtain Zorua you will need to have previously obtained the Fateful Encounter Celebi at an event for Diamond/Pearl/Platinum held prior to the release of Black & White. Using the Relocator Machine, transfer the Celebi you received into the game.
With the Fateful Encounter Celebi in your party, go to Castelia City gate, where you will talk to the people there until you trigger an event that will progress on it's own after you start it, and conclude with you receiving Zorua!

To obtain Zoroark you will need one of the Fateful Encounter Pokemon that were distributed to Diamond/Pearl/Platinum at special events prior to the release of Black and White. You know if you have those, as you had to go to the events to get them!
Use the Relocator to transfer any ONE of the following into your game:
RAIKOU (#243)
ENTEI (#244)
SUICUNE (#245)
After the transfer visit the Lostlorn Forest (Accessed through Route 16) to find and capture this new Legendary Pokemon!

There are four unique Pokemon that are used to trigger fateful encouters in the game â these were given out at special events, for your Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum cards. To move these Pokemon into the game you use the Relocator Machine â not the Pal Park (Pal Park is used for moving all of the other Pokemon into the game).
On the upper floor of the Name-Rater Services Building in Castelia City you will find a Scientist who, when you speak with him, alludes to a special machine that he has built. To use it you will need a password â the password is Everyone Happy Simple Connection.
You can now use the relocator for transferring all of the special event Pokemon to Black/White and obtain the lock capsule which lets you obtain the final TM â TM95, Snarl, which you get from using the Relocator with Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver or through a future event.

One of the aspects of Black & White that often flies under the radar is the fact that it is a new generation of the game series â which means that other than the selection of Pokemon from previous generations that are included in the post-game play, completing the National Dex will require you to utilize the Pal Park feature to move Pokemon from the previous generations into the game.
The most efficient method for doing this â if you do not already own the previous games â is to pick up a copy of Pokemon FireRed or LeafGreen, Pokemon Emerald, and Pokemon Platinum, which you will then play through to completion.
Step 1: Play through either FireRed or LeafGreen and then trade the first generation Pokemon from those to Pokemon Emerald. In Emerald move these Pokemon on to Platinum so that you have room for the rest of the process.
Step 2: Emerald â play through to the end of the game, collecting all of the Pokemon available, and then transfer all of the Pokemon into the next generation game, Pokemon Platinum. As Emerald is a GBA game and a previous generation, all transfers to Platinum are a one-way move.
Step 3: Platinum â play through the entire game, obtaining all of the available Pokemon. Once you have all that can be obtained in Platinum, join fan sites like Serebii and arrange with people on the boards to complete what are called Dex Trades â temporary trades in which they send you a Pokemon that is missing from your Dex and you send it straight back to them using the Internet-based trading mechanism that is built into the game.
Once you have Dex Entries for all of the Pokemon in the Platinum National Dex, you can begin using the Global Trade Network to trade extra Pokemon you own for the ones you are missing, as you can now trade for any Pokemon that is in your Dex.
This is particularly valuable for obtaining Legendary Pokemon from the previous generations as you cannot obtain them using the original mechanism for each game.
Step 4: Pal Park V â once you have acquired the sets of Pokemon in Platinum, and you have completed the story mode in Black or White, you can make use of the Generation V Pal Park to move them into the new games.
Using the above methods you will be able to complete your National Pokedex in Black or White.

The basic PC Storage System that was created by Dr. Fennel's assistant Amanita starts out as a total of 8 Storage Boxes, each of which can hold 30 Pokemon, which gives a starting total of 240 Pokemon. As there are 17 types of Pokemon, and as most Trainers prefer to create a box for each type, properly labeled and with a suitable wallpaper, this makes things a bit awkward.
The trick to expanding the PC Storage System is to place a Pokemon into each of the current 8 boxes, and then exit the PC, and reload it. Once you do that, you now have 16 Storage Boxes that hold a total of 480 Pokemon!
Obviously 16 boxes is not sufficient to create a box for each type, so you will need to place a Pokemon into each of the open 16 boxes, and again quit the PC, and re-open it, and now you have 24 PC Storage Boxes holding a total of 720 Pokemon. That may seem like a lot, but once you start moving Pokemon from the Generation IV games into Black and White, you will be wanting more room than that.
