In the battle tower, there are people that you can partner up with. I've found five so far, but I'm pretty sure there aren't any more. If there is, I'll update you. The basic thing is that you need to help them--they'll also heal your Pokemon in between battles, so get some training in too. I'll also give you the HM requirements. Note that rock climb, surf and waterfall cannot be used while with them, but you can come back and see what's up there. Here they are:

Mira-go all the way to the back of the cave under the bicycle road and guide her out.

Requirements-flash(recommended)rock smash

Riley-Go to iron island by talking to the sailor just southeast of the sailors house, then guide her through the cave-you will also get the lucario egg(leave an empty space in your party).

Rquirements-high lv pokemon

Marley-Guide her through the cave that was behind the fat guy just inside the north side of victory road

Requirements-natoinal dex and maybe strength or rock smash

Cheryl-guide her through eterna forest.

Requirements-none

Buck-go to stark mountain and get in and guide him to the magma stone-he'll take it,but go to the house left of the Pokemon center in the survival zone and talk to him. He'll say he doesn't need your help, but go to where the magma stone was and waiting there there will be HEATRAN waiting there

Requirements-national dex, rock smash, strength, and rock climb for the revisit.
