If you are training a Pokemon that is around level 35-40, then fly to the Pokemon centre at Mt. Silver, and give the Pokemon you are training the exp. Share. Then just battle the wild Pokemon around the Pokemon centre until you are at the level you want. I have been doing this and now I have a lv. 62 Charizard, lv. 62 Feraligatr, lv. 62 Tyranitar, lv. 62 Alakazam, and I am raising a Tauros, and Gengar. Hope this helps.
