You can get Darkrai, and Shaymin without an event! You must activate the "Go Anywhere - Through Anything" code and have the National Dex to do both. Here's how:

Darkrai
1) Go to Canalave
2) Go to the sailor's house (west of the boat)
3) The boy should be in bed. Talk to his mom and go back out
4) Talk to the sailor and go to Full Moon Island (You find Cressalia here, so you may want to get first)
5) Once you arrive, run to the east over the water. You should arrive at New Moon Island
6) Go north to the forest and voila! There it is!
Shaymin
1) Go to the Pokemon League and stand outside the door
2) Run east until you reach grass
3) Go all the way north until you reach the shiny stone
4) Run across the water a little. You should see Shaymin, but when you do, it'll disappear. Run/bike all the way up to the top of the trail
5) Once you reach the end (it's a looong way) you'll see a hedgehog. That's Shaymin.
