The real best team is (in any order)is who ever you think the best players are. For me the best players are dark mage, cactus man, and the ninja. Don't go by what others say go by what you think.
My team is the cactus person, ninja, and bowser.
And put them in that order
Having trouble beating Hard-to-beat foes, huh? Well I got a trick for ya.
When the game starts, run to the right of the screen until you hit the invisible wall. Continue running in the invisible wall for about 4 more seconds. You should see one foe running after you, another enemy chasing your partner at the right, and an ally at the left. Pass the ball to the dude at your
Left. When he receives the ball, run as fast as you can to the hoop. Then, as soon as you enter the dunkin' zone, go for a quick dunk. If you're fast enough,
You should be able to dunk without the AI having to hit you.
You see, when you receive the ball, the AI that is supposed to chase you is not fast enough to catch up with you. So when you get to the basket, the AI arrives, and you are able to dunk JUST BEFORE the AI can hit you. If you're not fast enough, the AI catches up earlier, making you miss your dunk.

A good team would be a speedy player (diddy kong) an all-around player(ninja) and a tricky player (boo)
This is how I won Gold Trophies :-).
A good team to have is Luigi,Ninja and donkey Kong.
Luigi and Ninja both have easy to do special shots.
Mario,paratroopa, diddy kong cause the speed,trick, and all round is great for hard battles!
In order to unlock Dark Mage, you have to get a gold trophie in Rainbow Cup. The difficulty has to be in Normal.
P.S.
To get a gold tropie on any cup, you have to beat every opponent by at least 200 points.
