Version 1.3 ~ 04/25/09:
Fixed/clarified a few minor items, pointed out by Rappy:
- Ocarina of Time/Song of Time: I had these reversed.
- Heart Piece #22 (now #25): Golden Scale is needed for this heart piece,
  not the Iron Boots.
- Heart Piece #30: gotten during the day.
- Skulltulas #74-76: minor clarifications.
- Ice Arrows: This part was rather badly worded, so I used Rappy's revised
  version instead.

Changed contact info and some formatting to make guide navigation easier.

Version 1.1 ~ 6/25/07:
Fixed a couple formatting errors, fixed location of 30 Deku Nut Holder upgrade.

getting through the dungeons as fast as possible. If you're starting to read
this in the middle of your game, be sure to skim the parts of the guide that
follow the earlier parts of the game to make sure you didn't miss any items
so far. The walkthrough follows this general outline:

TIMELINE [0002]
Early in the timeline, supposedly soon after The Minish Cap. At
the end of the game the series is split into two timelines, one following the
Link sent back in time and the other following the original timeline.

STORYLINE [0003]
A LONG TIME AGO...

Before life began, before the world had formed, three golden goddesses
descended upon the chaotic land of Hyrule; they were Din, the goddess of
power, Nayru, the goddess of wisdom, and Farore, the goddess of courage.

Din, with her strong flaming arms, cultivated the land to create the earth.
Nayru poured her wisdom onto the earth to give the spirit of law to the
world. Farore's rich soul created all life forms who would uphold the law.

These three great goddesses returned to the Heavens, leaving behind the
Golden Sacred Triforce. Since then, the Triforce has become the basis for
Hyrule's providence; where the Triforce stood became sacred land.

In the vast, deep forest of Hyrule, the Great Deku Tree served as the
guardian spirit. The children of the forest, the Kokiri, lived with the
Great Deku Tree. Each Kokiri had his or her own guardian fairy, except one.
His name was Link.

Early one morning, Link was having a nightmare. It was the same
nightmare he had every night. During a storm, Link would find himself
standing in front of a mysterious castle. A rider on horseback, carrying a
girl, would race by. The girl would look at Link as if to say something.
Then, another rider would appear. This big man clad in black would look down
menacingly at Link. Link would then awaken.

"Link! Hey, get up, Link! The Great Deku Tree wants to talk to you!"

As Link opened his eyes, he saw a fairy floating in front of him. This
fairy's name was Navi. Navi was sent to summon Link to the Great Deku Tree.

"Oh Navi, thou hast returned!" said the Deku Tree. "Thank you, Link,
for coming. Thy slumber these past moons must have been restless, and full
of nightmares. A vile climate pervades this world. Verily, ye have felt it.
The time has come to test thine courage. I have been cursed. I need you to
dispel the curse with your wisdom and courage. Art thou prepared?"

Link entered the Great Deku Tree and broke the curse.

"Well done, Link! I knew that ye were worthy of carrying out my
wishes. A wicked man of the desert cast this dreadful curse on me.
Employing his vile, sorcerous energies, the evil one is searching for the
Sacred Realm connected to Hyrule. For it is there that one will find the
divine relic. The Triforce, that contains the essence of the gods. Whoever
holds the Triforce can make their wishes come true. Thou must never allow
the desert man to lay his hands on the Sacred Triforce. Thou must never
suffer that man to enter the Sacred Realm of Legend. Link, go now to Hyrule
Castle. There, ye will surely meet the Princess of Destiny. Present this
stone to the Princess. I have foreseen that she will understand everything."

The Great Deku Tree gave Link the Spiritual Stone of the Forest. Before
dying, the Deku Tree's last words were, "The future depends on thee, Link.
Thou art courageous."

COMMENTS [0004]
Ocarina of Time is the quintessential Zelda game, the one that all
other Zelda games are compared to. It took the series to a new dimension of
3D and pulled it off brilliantly. It gained a reputation of having an
unlimited number of secrets and collectable items in a vast world. It
introduced the famous Zelda "tri-race" that was to occupy succeeding games:
The forest Deku, the mountainous Gorons, and the river-dwelling Zora. It's
a game divided into two parts: A Young Link and an Adult Link. But most
importantly, it contains the classic Zelda story: Link, the child, grows up
in the process of going through his adventures, collects the Master Sword,
defeats the evil Ganon, and saves the princess, helping the other various
races as he goes along.

Again, the items are arranged in the order of the soonest that you can
get them. In this game's case, this often means having to trudge long
distances over the Hyrule terrain from place to place, often revisiting areas
a lot. If you want, you can collect items in chunks by waiting until you've
advanced further to collect more items at once, thereby saving time. It's
usually best to get the items as early as possible, however.

The biggest feature of OoT is the time transfer from Young Link to
Adult Link. After you beat the Forest Temple, the first dungeon of the
Adult Link Quest, you have free access to switch between Young and Adult Link
as much as you like. There are many environmental changes between the Young
and Adult Hyrules; in the Young Link time frame, the Market is open and
active, and there are generally fewer problems with the environment because
Ganondorf has not come to power yet. In the Adult Link time frame, however,
the Market is destroyed, Zora's Domain is frozen over, and a sense of doom
ravages the land. Sometimes you may have to travel between times to
accomplish certain puzzles, like in laying Magic Beans as Young Link that
don't form into plants until Adult Link's time.

The most difficult and time-consuming part of doing a 100% run is
collecting the 100 Skulltula Tokens. Skulltulas are found virtually
everywhere, and besides the occasional secret rooms in the dungeons, aren't
very well hidden. Nevertheless, the last 20-25 Skulltula Tokens are really
tough to hunt down without some help. Skulltulas are usually only found
crawling around at night, although you can get the ones in the soil, in
dungeons and in buildings, at any time. To find the Skulltulas in the
patches of soil, catch some bugs from under the rocks and plop them on the
soil. You'll hear the sound of their rattling skin as you get close to them,
tipping you off to their location. Most of the tokens require the use of the
Boomerang or Hookshot to snag; you get the Boomerang after the third dungeon
of the Young Link Quest. Once you gain the Stone of Agony, it gives you
clues as to when you've come across a secret; open up the secrets to find
Skulltulas, Heart Pieces, and more. Fortunately, there is no point at which
certain items become unavailable; you can wait until right before you beat
Ganon to collect all the items if you wish!

In OoT and every Zelda game after it, Nintendo has included lots of
minigames that must be done in order to have 100% completion. These
minigames are mostly just tests of your skills with the Bow in OoT, so you'll
have to work on your reflexes and aiming more than in any previous Zelda
game. Often you get free retries if you get close to perfect scores, so
that's a bonus. The easiest way to get rupees to play the minigames and
purchase items is to break all the pots in the room at the entrance to the
Market as Young Link; you can rack up 100 rupees pretty easily that way.

The dungeons are an interesting mix; the first two dungeons aren't too
difficult, but in Jabu Jabu's Belly you have to escort a Zora Princess
through the dungeon to help you. Some dungeons, especially the Water Temple,
are very confusing. Make notes on which door leads where if you need to.
Fortunately, you can never get stuck by opening the wrong door with a key,
so don't worry about that.

In the Master Quest version of Ocarina of Time for the NGC, everything
is the same except for the dungeons. The only difference between it and the
normal OoT is that the dungeons are more difficult; there are no extra items
or upgrades to get.

Go past him to the east, talk to the Deku Tree, and enter the first dungeon.

Dungeon notes: The first dungeon of the game is straightforward enough.
The main trunk takes up the top three floors, and single rooms branch off
of them. Eventually you'll get to the bottom floors past the web, where
it's a simple way through to the boss. Nevertheless, this dungeon
introduces standard puzzles that will become commonplace later on. Link gets
the Fairy Slingshot in this dungeon, which is the most basic projectile
weapon in the game. To defeat the Gohma boss, first locate it on the
ceiling. Shoot at its eye with the Slingshot to stun it, then slice it up
with your sword. Repeat until it dies.

To the map:

  opening in the wall, kill the Gold Skulltula (#1) and get the token.

  the compass from the chest.

To the boss:
- Light the torch with a deku stick to go back to the previous room.
- Jump off one of the ledges on the 3rd floor and break through the web on
  the bottom to land in the B1 floor.
- Use the Slingshot to kill the Gold Skulltula (#2) on the vines, then
  climb up to get the token.
- Find the Gold Skulltula (#3) on the metal grating, kill it, then jump
  from the nearby ledge to get the token.
- Light the torch with a Deku Stick, jump into the shallow water, then go
  south and burn up the web with the flame, and go to the next room.
- Defeat the Deku Scrub, shoot the eye with the Slingshot and go through.
- Get in the water and dive down to press the switch, get onto the platform
  and ride it to the other side, push the block, climb up on it and go to
  the next room.
- Light the torches and continue on, then burn up the eastern web and crawl
  through it to a previous room.
- Push the block into the water, light a deku stick from the opposite
  platform, jump back across the block and roll on the web to burn it up,
  then drop down it to the B2 floor.
- Hit the middle Deku, then the right-hand one, then the left-hand one, and
  go to the next room to get to the boss.

north into the castle moat. Swim along it a little bit and get out at the
shallow part, and you will find Malon's father at the end of the path. Wake

Enter the Lost Woods, which is up the ledges on the north side of Kokiri
Forest. From the entrance, go east, then west, then east, then west, then
forward, then west, then east to get to the Sacred Forest Meadow. Kill the
wolf to unblock the rest of the meadow. Make your way through the linear
maze, avoiding the Deku Scrubs, and up through the narrow path until you
reach a clearing. Saria is waiting here, and she teaches you her song.

Saria's Song, and the Skull Kid gives you a Heart Piece.

Ocarina for the Skull Kids. Follow the tunes they play, and do it three
times correctly to get a Heart Piece.

- Get Bottle #2 (Kakariko Village)
To reach Kakariko Village from Hyrule Field, it's in the northeast corner.
Go across the bridge east from the market, and up the long stairway to enter
the village. Talk to the Cucco Lady in the south portion of the village- you
need to find all seven of her chickens and dump them into her fenced area.
The first chicken is right nearby, near the Graveyard entrance. The second
chicken is next to the exit back to Hyrule Field. The third chicken is
hiding in a box next to one of the stairways- roll into it to get it out. The
fourth chicken is up the stairs, near the exit to Death Moutain. Grab that
chicken and jump off the red roof nearby, to float down to the fifth chicken,
on a ledge next to the Skulltula House. To get the sixth chicken, grab one
and go east up the stairs on the east side of the village, throw the chicken
on the box, climb up and grab it, then jump to the fence. Carefully jump off
the end of the fence with the chicken so you can float over the huge brown
gate. Throw both chickens back over the gate. Now in this gated-off area,
climb up the ladder to find the final chicken. When all the chickens are
returned, the lady will give you a Bottle as a reward.

- Get Heart Piece #4 (Graveyard)
At night, go to the Graveyard, southeast from Kakariko Village. Talk to Dampe
and play his digging game. Pay him 10 rupees at any spot and he will dig a
hole. There is a Heart Piece in one of the spots he can dig.

- Learn "Sun's Song" (Graveyard)
Go to the far east, top-most ledge of the Graveyard, and play Zelda's Lullaby
next to the huge gravestone. It will disappear and you can jump in the hole.
Kill the bats and go to the next room, then carefully go to the next room,
avoiding the zombies. Examine the plaque at the end of the path to learn this
song; you can now switch between day and night at any time.

- Get Heart Piece #5 (Graveyard)
On the ledge just south of where the huge gravestone was, pull aside the small
gravestones on the left-hand side. One of them hides a secret hole; jump
inside it. Kill the mummy inside, then play the Song of Soul and get the
Heart Piece from the chest that appears.

- Get Skulltula Token #9 (Graveyard)
Catch a bug from under a rock with a Bottle, and go up on the ledge to the
northwest corner of the Graveyard. Lay a bug on the soft soil, and a Gold
Skulltula pops out.

Roll into the tree just past the entrance from Hyrule Field to make this Gold
Skulltula fall out.

- Get Adult Wallet (House of Skulltula)

Skulltula is behind one of the brick walls.

- Get Skulltula Token #14 (Kakariko Village)
Look at the back of the House of Skulltula to find this one.

- Get 50 Capacity Deku Seed Holder (Market)
Leave Kakariko Village and go to the Market area. In the northwest corner of
the market, enter the Archery Game building. Win the game to get this
upgrade for the Slingshot.

- Get Heart Piece #6 (Market)
Inside the market, play the Sun Song to make it nighttime. In the main area,
there are a lot of dogs hopping around; approach the white-colored dog so
that it starts to follow you. Now enter the back alley of the market to the
southwest, and enter the second door. The woman inside will give you the
Heart Piece for finding her dog.

- Get Keaton Mask (Market)
The Happy Mask Shop in the market opens up after you have spoken to the man
guarding the gate to Death Mountain and given him Zelda's letter. Inside,
talk to the store owner to get the Keaton Mask, the first mask. To sell the
mask, give it to the man guarding the gate in Kakariko Village.

- Get Skull Mask (Market)
After selling the Keaton Mask, the Skull Mask is available in the Happy Mask

sprout out of the ground and give you this Deku Stick upgrade.

the item shop in the Kokiri Forest. Lay the bug onto the soft soil here to

From the Lost Woods entrance, go west, and west again to the bridge area. Lay
a bug at the soft soil at the ledge to reveal a Skulltula.

At the Lost Woods screen with the two Deku Scrubs shooting at you, there is a
soft soil spot. Use another bug here to fetch out a Skulltula.

- Get Spooky Mask (Market)
Get the Spooky Mask from the Happy Mask Shop. To sell it, go to the Graveyard
from Kakariko Village during the day, and give this to the boy there.

- Get Bunny Hood (Market)
You can get the Bunny Hood from the Happy Mask Shop now, but you can't sell it
until later on.

- Get Heart Piece #7 (Fishing Pond)
In Hyrule Field, go all the way to the southwest corner. Climb the ladder on
the stone wall and go past the fence to get to Lake Hylia. Go left from the
entrance and across the water, then enter the house to get to the Fishing Pond
area. If you can catch a big fish (about 10 pounds), the owner will give you
a Heart Piece. The big fish usually lurks between the log poking out in the
middle of the pond and the three sticks nearby. Stand on that log to have the
best spot to cast and reel in the fishes.

- Get Skulltula Token #18 (Lake Hylia)
The Scientist's Lab is to the right of the entrance from Hyrule Field. Use a
bug on the soft soil next to the lab. While you are in this area, there is a
scarecrow patch in between the lab and the fishing pond. Play a song with
your Ocarina in front of the dancing scarecrow named Banooru, and remember
the notes you used; it will become important later.

- Get Skulltula Token #19 (Lake Hylia)
Go all the way across both bridges, then swim to the small platform out deep
in the lake. Kill the Gold Skulltula there.

- Get Skulltula Token #20 (Zora's River)
In Hyrule Field, go south from the entrance to Kakariko Village, along the
river, until you can go east to a new area, which is Zora's River. Roll into
the tree near the entrance to make a Gold Skulltula fall out.

- Get Stone of Agony (House of Skulltula)
Enter the House of Skulltula in Kakariko Village again once you have 20
Skulltula Tokens, and the newly uncursed man inside gives you this item,
which alerts you when a secret is nearby.

- Get Heart Piece #8 (Gerudo Valley)
Enter Gerudo Valley, which is west from Hyrule Field. Near the impassable
bridge, grab the chicken. Jump off to the right and float down, through the
giant waterfall, into a tiny nook in the wall. Get the Heart Piece here.

- Get Skulltula Token #21 (Gerudo Valley)
Jump into the water from the last Heart Piece, then climb up on the bottom
ledge of the valley. Use a bottled bug on the soft soil spot here to dig up
a Gold Skulltula.

- Get Heart Piece #9 (Gerudo Valley)
Grab the chicken again, and jump off the cliff to the left. Float to the
tiny ledge with the crate on the opposite side of the valley. Roll into the
crate and get the Heart Piece.

- Get Power Bracelet (Goron City)
Go past the Kakariko gates to enter Death Mountain. Go all the way up the
ledges, past the big boulder blocking Dodongo's Cavern. Follow the path to
the right of the area with all the smaller boulders, and go forward until
you enter Goron City. Drop down to the bottom level of the city, and play
Zelda's Lullaby in front of the big door slab. Go inside to find Darunia,
leader of the Gorons. Play Saria's Song for him, and he will give you the
Power Bracelet.

- Get Skulltula Token #22 (Death Mountain)
Go back outside Goron City from the entrance you came in, and go through the
short tunnel you see to your right. Pick up the bomb flower and throw it
over the ledge so that it explodes and destroys the boulder blocking the
entrance to Dodongo's Cavern. Go back down there, and you will see a soft
soil spot. Use a bug here to release a Skulltula, and then go forward to
enter the second dungeon.

Get 3 Skulltula Tokens (#23-#25)
Defeat King Dodongo
Get Goron Ruby and Heart

Dungeon notes: This is the first fire-themed dungeon of the game, and it's
still shorter/easier than any dungeon you'll face as Adult Link. The Beamos
statues are annoying enemies that shoot lazer beams at you incessantly.
Target them and throw a bomb at them to destroy them. Before you get the
regular bombs in the dungeon, you'll have to use the bomb flowers to get by.
There are plenty of fake walls; just look for the portions of the walls that
are differently-colored than the rest of the wall. There are a couple tough
Lizalfo fights here, so practice your evading and jump attack skills. The
boss of the dungeon is the giant King Dodongo. When it starts to breath in
and open its mouth, quickly throw a bomb into its throat. Then, while it's
stunned, slice it with your sword. Afterwards, sidestep or hide in a corner
while it rolls around the room. Repeat the above process until it dies.

To the map:
- Bomb the wall with a bomb flower and go forward.
- Jump across to the central platform, then jump to the east ledge; use a
  bomb flower to blow up the southeast fake wall and go to the next room.
- Locate the fake wall on the east side, then destroy a Dodongo Larva near
  the fake wall so it explodes, then go through that tunnel.
- Kill the Gold Skulltula (#1) behind the Armos Statue.
- Go back to the previous room and go north, push the statue onto the switch,
  then go to the next room.
- Go to the next room and kill the Lizalfos, then continue through the door.
- Light a Deku Stick with the flaming torch and use it to light all the other
  torches, and go west back to the big room.
- Step on the switch, then jump across to the west ledge.
- Bomb the fake wall on this side and get the map from the chest.

To the compass:
- Go through the west unlocked door, then south after that.
- Kill the Armos Statue and get the compass, then go back north.

To the secret item:
- Pick up the lone bomb flower and place it in-between the other rows to blast
  all of them and lower the stairs.
- Climb the stairs and go around, shoot the Gold Skulltula (#2) on the vines
  near the top door, and climb up to get the token.
- Go through to the next room, push aside the Armos Statue in front of the
  ladder, step on the switch and go through the unlocked door.
- Go across the bridge to the next room.
- Go through the spike trap room, pull the block at the end out of the wall,
  and climb up on to the platform; throw a bomb at the nearby fake wall to
  blow it up, and go through it to the next room.
- Shoot the eye with your Slingshot to get to the next room.
- Kill the Lizalfos, and continue through the unlocked door.
- Shoot the first eye and jump to the platform, then shoot the second eye in
  the nitch to the left to get across the other platform; get the Bombs from
  the chest at the end of the room.

To the boss:
- Go to the next room and hit the switch, then step onto the bridge and drop
  down bombs through both gaps, into the eyes of the statue below.
- Drop down and enter the statue head's mouth to the next room.
- Go through the path to the right, down the hallway, to the next room.
- Go across this room, then bomb the fake wall on the opposite side, and get
  the Gold Skulltula (#3) in the room past that wall.
- Go back and hop up onto the nearby ledge, then go across and hop down, then
  go through the next door.
- Push the block onto the switch in the middle, then go through the unlocked
  door.
- Bomb the center of the floor and drop down to get to the boss.

Magic Beans in now to get Heart Pieces later: next to the scientist's lab in
Lake Hylia, in front of the Dodongo's Cavern entrance, and in the northwest
corner of the Graveyard. Also, plant a Magic Bean in the Lost Woods screen

Grab the chicken near the circle of stones, hop across to the ledge on the

make a Gold Skulltula fall out.

Get Zora Sapphire and Heart

To the dungeon: Catch a fish in one of your bottles from Zora's Domain, then
drop the fish in front of Jabu Jabu in Zora's Fountain. The great fish will
suck Link into his mouth.

Dungeon notes: The final dungeon from the Young Link Quest is filled with
stingrays, squids, and tentacle monsters. All these enemies are easily
defeated with the dungeon item, the Boomerang! The Boomerang is not only
great at killing off these enemies, it also grants access to many Skulltula
tokens that were previously unreachable. Inside the dungeon you'll meet
Princess Ruto- she is necessary to reach several rooms. If you lose track of
her, she should reappear in the room you first found her, or the one below.
This is a fairly short, straightforward dungeon, and the boss, Barinade is
not too difficult. First, detach it from the wall with your Boomerang and
slash it with your sword. In the next phase, hit the main body with the
Boomerang, then kill all the squids around it. Afterwards it will be
undefended, and you can finish it off with the Boomerang and sword.

- Fall down the hole she falls down, pick her up and go through the nearby
  door.
- In the next room, shoot the Gold Skulltula (#1) and climb up to the token.
- Throw Ruto to the opposite platform, hit the switch and swim to the other
  side, then shoot the appendage to unlock the door and go through with Ruto.
- Ride up the platform, then go north to a previous room.
- Go past all the pits, through the door to the north.
- Go through the door on the far east here- step on the switch while carrying
  Ruto to open it- and kill the enemies to get the Boomerang from the chest.

To the map:
- Now go back to the west side of the room and place Ruto on the switch, then
  go through the unlocked door.
- Kill the tentacle with the Boomerang and get the map from the chest.

To the compass:
- Go back to the previous room and go through the first door on the left.
- Kill the enemies in the time limit and get the compass from the chest.

To the boss:
- Go back to the previous room and go through the second door on the left.

- Go through the center door to the north and kill the tentacle.

  green tentacle, with Ruto.

- There is another Gold Skulltula to the right of this one (#3); collect the
  token with the Boomerang.
- Go through the nearby door, carrying Ruto.
- Throw Ruto to the sapphire, then you will fight a Big Octo. Destroy it,
  then ride the platform up to the top.
- Jump to the nearby ledge and ride it down, then place one of the nearby
  crates on the switch in front of the east door, and go through it.
- Stun the platforms with the Boomerang and jump across to the next room.
- Shoot the Gold Skulltula (#4) on one of the vines here and climb up to the
  token.

Get Fairy Bow and Arrows
Get 5 Skulltula Tokens (#58-#62)
Defeat Phantom Ganon
Get Forest Medallion and Heart

Dungeon notes: The Forest Temple is a large, tricky dungeon. It may not have
the toughest enemies, but it still is one of the more difficult ones to
complete. In the central room of the dungeon, there are four candles- each
one represents a Poe that needs to be killed. You can find the first two
right before you get the Fairy Bow, and the second two right before you face
the final boss. The Fairy Bow is the main projectile weapon for Adult Link,
so it will be very useful in the time to come. The Poes can be defeated by
waiting for them to fully appear, then slicing them with the sword or
shooting them with arrows. The purple Poe makes copies of itself, but the
real Poe is easy to spot, because it adds an extra twirl when it appears.
Keep an eye and an ear out for those Skulltulas-there are many of them, and
they're not especially well hidden. The Stalfos will regenerate themselves
if you're not quick, so damage all of them before killing one, or they'll
raise themselves up again. To defeat the menacing Phantom Ganon: In the
first phase, two copies of Ganon run at you on his horse from two of the
paintings. One of them emerges from the painting in a purple haze; shoot
that Ganon with an arrow. When you've done that enough, Ganon will float
around the room. Reflect his energy ball back at him until he's hit, then
pound on him with your sword until he dies.

Get Megaton Hammer
Get 5 Skulltula Tokens (#69-#73)
Defeat Volvagia
Get Fire Medallion and Heart

Dungeon notes: The Fire Temple is Link's most dangerous leg of the journey
yet- there are many annoying boulders, fire bats, and Like-Likes through all
stages of the temple. Come prepared with fairies, if you have them. The
goal of this temple is to save all the trapped Gorons from their cells; by
releasing one, you usually get a key as a result. It's a more straightforward
dungeon than the Forest Temple or the Water Temple, but still much harder than
any of the first three dungeons. As in all the Adult Link dungeons, there are
five Gold Skulltulas waiting to be found, two of which require the Scarecrow's
song. The secret item this time is the Megaton Hammer, which is used to
destroy unbombable boulders or push down rusted switches. To defeat the mini-
boss, just hookshot the black ball, then slice up the ball with your sword.
The boss, Volvagia, is fairly simple: wait for his head to pop up out of the
lava, pound it once with the Megaton Hammer to stun it, then pound it again to
damage it.

To the map:
- Go forward, up the stairs, and through the left door to meet Darunia.
- Jump over to the cell on the left, press the switch to free the Goron, and
  get the key from the chest.
- Go back to the previous room, then go right through the locked door.
- Jump to the right side of this room, bomb the fake wall on the ledge and go
  through.
- Free the Goron and get the key from the chest.
- Go back to the big room, then go to the left side and go through that door.
- Free the Goron and get the key, then go back to the big room.
- Play the Song of Time below the blue block, then hop up to the top door on
  the left side and go through.
- Kill the Gold Skulltula (#1) inside, then come back out.
- Go to the north end of the big room and go through the locked door.
- Slide down, hookshot up the wall, then drop down on the top right-hand
  platform; push the block over the edge, then ride it to the room above.
- Go through the locked door to the next room.
- Climb up the platforms to the left, jump across and push the block off, then
  pull it as far as possible. Climb up the grated wall to the top, then throw
  a bomb off the ledge so it hits the crystal switch, and climb up and enter
  the next room.
- There are two trapped Gorons here: one through a door and the other in the
  room itself; free both of them and get the two keys.
- Along one of the walls in this room you will hear a Gold Skulltula (#2)-
  bomb the wall at that point to find it.
- In the boulder room, find the locked door and go through it.
- Shoot the eye with an arrow and go through the east door, and get the map
  from the chest.

To the compass:
- Go back, and go north through the locked door.
- Jump over the platforms to the right to the opposite side, then jump up and
  go through the unlocked door.
- Play the Scarecrow's song when you enter, hookshot up to it, then hookshot
  to the targeted platform and ride it up.
- Go through and up the grated walls to reach a Gold Skulltula (#3).
- Continue up the wall, to the next room.
- Shoot the Gold Skulltula on the wall (#4) and get the token.
- Go back to the top floor of the boulder room, jump across and bomb the
  cracked floor, then drop down.
- Free the Goron and get the key, then go back and climb back up.
- Jump over to the ledge with the switch to free the Goron, then jump over to
  its cell and get the key from the chest.
- Go back through the door to the moving-flame room.
- Jump to the ledge in the middle of the room and go through the locked door.
- Turn right and go through the door on the right-hand wall.
- Get the compass from the chest, then go back to the previous room.

To the secret item:
- Make your way to the left side of the room and go through the locked door.
- Go through the next door, to get to the other end of the previous room.
- Step on the switch and quickly get over to the ledge before the firewall
  springs up; bomb the fake door and go through the door after that.
- Kill the mini-boss, then ride the center platform up.
- Climb up the grated wall and shoot the crystal switch, then climb up to the
  next room.
- Step on the switch, then run around the inside ledge to the chest and get
  the Megaton Hammer from it.

To the boss:
- Run back over the ledge, pound the stone face with the hammer and drop down
  the hole.
- Pound the totem pole with the hammer and go through the door.
- Pound the stone head to make steps, then pick up a crate and go down to the
  blue switch and put it on it, then go through the next door.
- Pound the stone face and drop down the hole.
- Pound the rusted switch and go through the door.
- Play the Song of Time, then jump across to the opposite platform and pound
  the rusted switch to free the Goron.
- Jump back up to the big room, then pound the stone face on the platform and
  drop down the hole.
- Go south to the entrance room, pound the totem pole in front of the right
  door and go through it.
- Kill the enemies and go to the next room.
- Kill the Gold Skulltula (#5) on the wall and go to the next room.
- Kill the mini-boss, go through the next door and get the Boss Key from the
  chest.
- Go back up the stairs and through the left door.
- Jump across and go through the big door to get to the boss.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Get Longshot
Get 5 Skulltula Tokens (#77-#81)
Defeat Morpha
Get Water Medallion and Heart
To the dungeon: Play the Serenade of Water to warp to Lake Hylia, and drop
down to the platform to the entrance to the Water Temple.  Hookshot the
diamond object over the entrance, and it will open up for you.
Dungeon notes: The OoT Water Temple has a solid reputation of being one of the
most confusing and difficult dungeons in the entire franchise.  The key to
getting through it, however, is simple: remember where all the water-level
stations are, and figure out where all the hidden keys are.  The first station
you find lowers the water level to the bottom.  The station in the middle
column of the big room raises the water level to the middle.  The station
accessible from the west door of the second floor raises the water level to
the top.  The big room in the middle is connected to many rooms, most of
which lead off to a key.  Make sure you explore every corridor of every floor,
and remember that changing the water level can give access to many new areas.
The mini-boss guarding the dungeon item is Dark Link, and he is easily
defeatable with the sword.  The dungeon item is the Longshot, which is simply
a hookshot that reaches farther.  To defeat the boss, Morpha, stand on the
edges and target the pink orb, avoid the arm that thrusts out of the water
and hookshot the orb, then slice it with your sword.
NOTE: PLEASE keep in mind that it is impossible to get permanently stuck in
this dungeon!  If you get stuck and the water level needs to be lowered or
raised, just go back to where the water-leveling Triforce stations are- I've
explained their locations above.
To the map:
- Float up to the main room, then sink down to the bottom floor with the Iron
  Boots and go through the east doorway to meet Ruto.
- Float up to the top floor and go through the door.
- Get the map from the chest.
To the compass:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Shadow Temple [0208]~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Get Hover Boots
Get 5 Skulltula Tokens (#86-#90)
Defeat Bongo Bongo
Get Shadow Medallion and Heart
To the dungeon: Play the Nocturne of Shadow, then go down the stairs to a
small chamber.  Use Din's Fire to light all the torches and unlock the
entrance.
Dungeon notes: The Shadow Temple is a fairly linear dungeon, unlike the tricky
and winding mazes of the Forest Temple and the Water Temple.  You will get the
Hover Boots in this dungeon, although the main item of importance here is the
Lens of Truth, which you receive in the Bottom of the Well.  Use the Lens of
Truth to reveal many invisible platforms, doorways, and other objects as you
make your way through.  With the Hover Boots, Link can hover in the air for a
couple seconds to reach otherwise unreachable platforms across from him.  Link
will use the Iron Boots and the Hover Boots in tandem through several puzzles
in this dungeon.  Most of the enemies are ones that you've faced already:
Skulltulas, bats, Wall Masters, Like-Likes, and so on- and you're stronger
than you were before.  When you reach the boss, first shoot the hands with
arrows to stun them, then use the Lens of Truth to find the central eye in the
head.  Shoot that with an arrow, then slice it up with your sword.
To the map:
- Go forward and hookshot across, then go through the fake wall.
- Use the Lens of Truth and go through the fake door to the northwest.
- Use the Lens of Truth to find a passage to the right; enter and get the map
  from the chest.
To the secret item:
- Go back and go through another fake wall to the west.
- Find the door to the west and go through, kill the Dead Hand and get the
  Hover Boots from the chest.
To the compass:
- Go back through the fake walls to the large room.
- Push the bird statue so that it faces the southwest fake door (the door that
  doesn't disappear when you use the eye of truth), then use the Hover Boots to
  run across to the gate and go through.
- Go through the left-hand door.
- Get all the silver rupees and get the key, then go back to the previous
  room.
- Go through the fake wall on the opposite side, kill the enemies and get the
  compass from the chest.
Get Silver Gauntlets
Get Mirror Shield
Get 5 Skulltula Tokens (#95-#99)
Defeat Twinrova
Get Spirit Medallion and Heart
Dungeon notes: The Spirit Temple is a large dungeon separated into two parts:
The Young Link section and the Adult Link section.  You will first enter the
dungeon as Young Link in order to get the Silver Gauntlets.  Then, you use
the Silver Gauntlets as Adult Link to get past the giant block obstructing
the way to the next section of the dungeon.  There are many Beamos, Fire Bat,
Armos Statues, and Lizalfos in the dungeon, as well as a wooden type of enemy
Link can only defeat with the Fire Arrows or Din's Fire- be sure to bring
fairies!  In the Adult Link section, Link will eventually find the Mirror
Shield.  This shield reflects light coming from a skylight above onto other
objects- usually the sun symbols that appear on the wall.  Several Iron
Knuckles guard the major items of the dungeon; to defeat them, jump in and
slice with the sword, then quickly jump away before getting hammered.  The
bosses of the dungeon are the evil Twinrova sisters.  To defeat them, first
target one of the sisters and block the fire or ice ray she shoots, then
reflect that ray onto the other sister to damage her.  After doing that
several times, they will merge into one.  Absorb a fire or ice shot three
times in a row and you will reflect a beam at her.  When she's stunned, slice
her up with your sword until she dies.
To the map:
- Enter the dungeon as Young Link, go forward and left to meet Nabooru.
- Crawl through the hole, kill the enemies, and go through the left door.
  the door to a previous room.
- Go through the crawlspace, then through the locked door.
- Hit the crystal to get Bombchus from the chest, then use a Bombchu to hit
  the rock protruding from the wall, and go through the unlocked door.
- Drop down to the left, light the torches in front of the giant statue and
  get the map from the chest.
To the compass:
- Climb back up the wall you dropped down, push the statue onto the switch,
  then go up the stairs and through the unlocked door.
- Collect all the silver rupees to light a torch, then light all the torches
  in the room with a Deku Stick, then get the key from the chest that drops.
  Pull the blocks aside and pull the block with the sun symbol into the light,
  then go through the unlocked door.
- Turn around and kill the Gold Skulltula (#3) above the door.
- Go up the steps through the door, kill the Iron Knuckle, and go through the
  next door.
- Get the Silver Gauntlets from the chest.
- Warp back to the dungeon as Adult Link, and enter.
- Go right from the entrance and push the huge block aside.
- Go through and shoot the diamond on the ceiling and go through the left
  door.
  block and kill the Gold Skulltula (#4).
- Go to the next room and get the key, then go back two rooms, and go through
  the locked door.
- Climb the wall, then push the mirror statue so that it reflects light on the
  sun symbols- one of the symbols opens the next door for you to go through.
- Get to the top platform, then use the Hover Boots to get to the statue hand
  with the Triforce symbol.  Play Zelda's Lullaby, then hookshot to the chest
  and get the key from it.
  Scarecrow's Song, then hookshot over to him and kill the Gold Skulltula
  (#5).
- Go to the east side of the room and hookshot to the target, then climb the
  stairs to the top and go through the door.
- Kill the enemies and go forward through the next door.
- Touch an Armos Statue, then make it follow you onto the switch, and quickly
  go through the door when it unlocks.
- Go up the stairs, kill the Iron Knuckle, and go through the next door.
- Get the Mirror Shield from the chest.
To the boss:
- Go back to the Armos statue room, then reflect the light onto the sun
  symbol with the Mirror Shield and go through the unlocked door.
- Get the key, then go back to the previous room, and west, then go through
  the locked door.
  second mirror statue so it reflects light through the bars.
- Go back around and reflect the light with your Mirror Shield onto the sun
  symbol to lower the platform.
- Reflect light onto the statue face, then hookshot to the big door and go
  through.
- Kill the Iron Knuckle and go through the next door to get to the boss.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Ganon's Castle [0212]~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Get Golden Gauntlets
Get Double Defense (Ganon's Castle)
Defeat Ganondorf

To the dungeon: Go north from the Market, and a rainbow bridge will have been
built that leads to the entrance of the final dungeon.

Dungeon notes: The final dungeon consists of a central room, and six passages,
which represent the six medallions, branching off from it. Each passage has
a themed puzzle that corresponds to the dungeon you got the medallions from.
You will use a combination of practically all your skills, so come prepared!
At the end of each passage, you will use a Light Arrow to dispell the barrier
protecting the central tower of the castle. You can break the barriers in
any order, but the Shadow Barrier is done here first because you get the
important Golden Gauntlets inside. At the top of the central tower, you will
face Ganondorf, the King of Evil! To defeat him, stand on the perimeter of
the room, and deflect his energy balls back at him until he gets hit. Then,
fire a Light Arrow at him, and jump over and slice him up with your sword.
If he starts to charge a gigantic orb and the room darkens, power up your spin
attack and unleash it when the orb is launched at you.

Shadow Barrier:
- Shoot the torch to the right with a Fire Arrow, then jump across the ice
  blocks to the Like-Like platform, then jump to the platform after that.
- Use the Lens of Truth to find an ice path to the left, follow it to a
  switch, and hit it with the Megaton Hammer to unlock the door.
- Go back across, shoot the torch again with a Fire Arrow, then jump across
  the ice platforms to the right and step on the switch there.
- Get the Golden Gauntlets from the chest.
- Use the Lens of Truth to find the central path, cross it to the next door
  and go through.
- Shoot a Light Arrow at the energy orb to destroy the Shadow Barrier.
- With the Golden Gauntlets, exit Ganon's Castle, then go under the big arch
  to the left and go down the valley. Lift up the giant pillar, then go
  inside the cave and receive the Double Defense from the Great Fairy.

Forest Barrier:
- Use Din's Fire to light the four center torches and a Fire Arrow on the
  torch above the door, then go through the door.
- Equip the Hover Boots and let the fan to the left push you to a couple of
  silver rupees. Step on the switch to make a hookshot target appear.
- Collect the rest of the silver rupees, using the Hover Boots and avoiding
  the fans, then go through the next door.
- Shoot a Light Arrow at the energy orb to destroy the Forest Barrier.

Water Barrier:
- Catch some blue fire in a couple bottles, kill the enemies, drop some
  blue fire on the red ice, and go through the door.
- Push the far block into the hole, then push the other block below the
  ledge with the red ice.
- Jump up and melt the red ice, then go through the door.
- Shoot a Light Arrow at the energy orb to destroy the Water Barrier.

Fire Barrier:
- Equip your Goron Tunic, and collect all the silver rupees in the room.
  Pick up the giant pillar with the Golden Gauntlets to reveal one silver
  rupee and grant access to another one.
- Afterwards, hookshot to the next door and go through.
- Shoot a Light Arrow at the energy orb to destroy the Fire Barrier.

Light Barrier:
- Use the Golden Gauntlets to dispose of the giant pillar in front of the
  passage to the Light Barrier.
- Kill all the invisible enemies and get the key, then go through the locked
  door.
- Play Zelda's Lullaby on the Triforce symbol to get the key, and go through.
- Collect all the silver rupees and hookshot to the last one on top, then go
  through the next door.
- Shoot a Light Arrow at the energy orb to destroy the Light Barrier.

Spirit Barrier:
- Collect all the silver rupees and go to the next room.
- Hit the crystal behind the cage to get Bombchus, then lay a Bombchu so it
  goes over the cage and hits the far crystal, and go through the next door.
- Shoot the ceiling with a Fire Arrow and reflect the light on the sun
  symbols with the Mirror Shield to unlock the next door.
- Shoot a Light Arrow at the energy orb to destroy the Spirit Barrier.

To the boss:
- Enter the central tower after all the barriers are destroyed.
- Make your way up the tower, killing the enemies, then get the Boss Key
  after killing the Stalfos.
- After killing the Iron Knuckles, climb up the final part of the tower and
  open the door to get to Ganondorf.

- Defeat Ganon
After you defeat Ganondorf, Zelda will instruct you to follow her in order to
escape the castle. The way back through the castle is linear; you have time
to defeat the enemies as you go, and Zelda will open the caged doors. After
you escape, you will begin the final fight, against Ganon! To damage Ganon,
shoot its head with a Light Arrow to stun it- or simply roll under its legs-
and pound the tail with the Megaton Hammer or slice it with the Biggoron's
Sword. Do that until it collapses, and get your Master Sword back from near
Zelda. Now, battle it the same way as before, but use the Master Sword to
damage it this time. When it collapses again, Zelda will use her power and
you can finish him off with your sword.
