You never succesfully stop him. You hit him with your sword to get the old lady's bag back. Or you could shoot him with an arrow and he blows up, but the lady won't get her bag back that way.

Hit him in the front not the back with your sword not arrows.

Hit him with your sword. If you already have the Blast Mask and Bigger Bomb Bag, you can shoot him with arrows to add a little humor to the situation. Fire Arrows work especially well in this scenario.

Wait by the tree oppisite from where the robber is.When he comes by hit him with your sword.It doen't matter which side you hit him, just get before he leaves.

Hit the robber when he starts running but not with an arrow it will cause.....a incident.

Just hit him in the front with a sword not the deku scrub version. No matter what side it will work
