Question for Zelda 64: Ocarina of Time

Sometimes, Navi will go green at random places like on the floor and on the walls.
You can't z-target it nor see what it is. She doesn't say anything.

Why does she do that and what do we have to do if there is anything to do?

Or, like zelda girl said, try playing the Song of Time...

Navi's telling you that you can play the Scarecrow's Song and he will appear there for you to use the Hookshot on...
To get the Scarecrow's Song, go to Lake Hylia as a Kid. Now head over to the left towards the Fishing Pond and when you get to the Scarecrow, pull out your Ocarina and play an 8 note song like up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down. Finally, as an Adult, go back and play that same song again for him and it will be considered your Scarecrow's Song!!!

Sometimes you can play the Song of Time and a blue block will appear, or play your Scarecrow's Song and a scarecrow will appear which you can use your hookshot or longshot on.

If you walk over to where Navi is doing that play the song of storms or the sun's song and a bundle of fairies will come out. It's basicly a big fairy nothing special.
