Question for Zelda 64: Ocarina of Time

Can somebody be specific on how to get Epona? When I was a kid I talked to Malon but she never taught me the song. I know I need to be a kid but I haven't beaten the Forest Temple as I can't get past the 2 skull guards because I keep dying. I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!

Well, I don't really know what to tell you about the stalfos (skull guards).

Be persistant and you'll get by them. Get back to your childhood after you beat the forest temple by going to the temple o time and placing the master sword in the altar. Go to lon lon ranch and go over to malon. Don't talk to her, just play your ocarina in front of her. She will teach you the song. Play the prelude of light, warp to the temple of time, pull the master sword, and go back to the ranch as an adult. Make sure you have at least 70 rupees. Talk to ingo and pay to go inside and ride a horse. Instead of riding the nearby horse, play Epona's song. She will run over to you. Practise riding on her to expire the time. Go in and ride on her again, but this time, z target ingo from her back and talk to him. He will challenge you to a race. Beat him twice in a row and he will give you epona.

Run toward the fence he is near at full speed and jump over to escape the ranch.

To get epona's song, go up to malon, and take out the Ocarina. She will teach you the song. Also, you don't need to beat the skull guards. They only give you the map.

First obtain the Biggoron's sword, yes that means doing some things before you hve to do them. Or just buy the Giant's knife. Then go to the stalfos room. On the first stalfos, use the Master sword. Same for the SECOND, not the third. The once that one is gone, equip the Biggoron's sword or Giant's knife and just stab, stab, stab! Even when his shield is up, stab. You should win.
