Go into Zora's Domain and get through to where Price Jabu Jabu was.
Around there, there should be a cave accessible through jumping on blocks of ice.
Solve this area to get the iron boots. Then use those to sink down at Hylian Lake. Then you have access to the Water Temple.

Actually, after you sink in the water at Lake Hylia, you need to use your Hookshot to hit the blue gem above the gate.

You both failed to mention the ever-so important Fairy Cave there that gives you either Farore's Wind or Nayru's Love.
Also, I find it hilarious how you both didn't mention the Zora Tunic, which is CLEARLY needed to breathe underwater.
