How do you beat the running man in ocarina of time cause I've tried can you even beat him

Epona is a huge asset to have if you are trying to beat his score.....just saying.
I did it, but leave some room so you can beat your time again (I heard that you get a nice reward if you beat your own time, but it might just be something little, idk).

It is not possible to beat the running man. No matter what anyone says, it is impossible. The running man will always beat you. No matter how fast you go, he will never lose. Stop trying, there is no prize.

I don't think you understand which 'race' they are talking about as giving the running man the rabbit mask is not a race, because he runs slower than you anyway! This is merely a part of the mask side quest that you carry out as young link to receive the mask of truth. They are referring to the race that you can do as adult link by talking to the man in the tent in Gerudo Valley as an adult Link, once the bridge has been rebuilt though.
And you answer the OP's, you can only beat him with some sort of cheat code which makes you run the race in 0.01s. Hope this helps!

The adult link race agianst the running can not be beaten because the program will always have him there when you enter the lost woods one second before you even if you hack the timer and get 00:00 seconds he will state that he got there at '00:00 seconds' if any one says that they have beaten him they are full of crap because they want to impress people who don't really know about the game that well if you don't belive me go on youtube and look it up

The adult link running man race can never be beaten. The running man will always be one second ahead of you. Even if you hack the timer and keep it at 00:00 he will be there first saying 'I made it in 00:00seconds you were to slow' thus meaning you loose. And any of you who say you have beaten it your so full of it because even nintendo made a statement saying he could not be beaten. So sorry to the person who posted this it's just never going to happen look to youtube to see the truth
