Question for Super Mario 64

On course 3 Jolly Roger Bay
BLAST TO THE STONE PILLAR

Can anyone please tell me how and where it is, I have used the cannon, and have shot mario all over, and still can not figure out where i'm supose to hit..

Jolly Roger Bay - Star 5: Blast To The Stone Pillar

Once you get in the cannon, look to the left, you should see three spikey stone pillars, shoot yourself to the far left one - aim a little above the tip of it, so that it's at the bottom of your screen. When you actually grab the pillar (it may take a few tries), make your back face the ledge and hit the A button to jump and land on it, now go jump into the yellow box and get the Star!

You have to be in a cannon, there should be three spiked things to the left, aim up so the very last one is on the bottom of the screen. Then launch, and you have to press A, then you will be able to get to the yellow box for the star.

Get in the cannon and look for a tall stone spire aim right at the thinest part and you should hit it turn mario to the left or right I forget which jump onto a small platform and hit the block and get the star.

If you have the Red ? Blocks unlocked you can just float there
