If you are talking about Project 64, I know how.
Just press Ctrl C and in the cheats window right click (make sure you have the "Hide Advanced Settings " option unchecked) after that click the "Add Cheat " button in that window just put the code of the cheat you want to use. You can search the cheat's code in the Web.
